Sooooo.......guess who I had playing in my backyard on Saturday night....... THE MAKEPEACE BROTHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG. It was the best night ever. They were incredible. Such sweeties. AND, they even spent the night and Conor cooked us dinner and breakfast. Here's their blog about the evening: It's all over now, That's right folks our summer Vote with your Dollar/Pound tour has come to a completion. We finished the tour in true Makepeace fashion. First we played an amazing house party in Columbus Georgia to a bunch of super cool, super fun people. The weather in Georgia was amazing for us! Everyone kept saying that usually you can't even hang out outside because it's like 102 in the shade with %100 humidity…ahhhh that sounded insane, so we were very grateful that it was only like 85 with no humidity. Then we headed up to about an hour outside Atlanta to Jill and Wes' house for one of our best house parties of the tour. We were set up outside in their backyard underneath the twinkling of Christmas lights and a gazebo. The weather was amazing, about 75 and a light breeze, and the music was amazing, we felt incredible about the quality of the sound and by the faces of everyone they did too!! I do believe we may be one of the best in home bands around, cause not only do we come and rock super hard, but Conor hooks up some of the best food around!!! Just ask Jill, his Sushi bowl (Quinoa, Avocado, Nori, Kale, Mixed Greens, scallions, basil, cilantro tossed in a amazing home made Asian dressing, Yummaayy) for dinner was amazing, and the next morning he made banana pancakes, home made home fries, and scrambled eggs! WOW! Here's a pic of them in my backyard: Here's a pic of me with them the following night in Atlanta: And here's some youtube videos we took that night in Atlanta: (seriously, watch them...they were GREAT) "It's About That Time" www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbbJU3cTRQ4"I Can Always Do It -- The Boogie Song" [Note: adding the "boogie" part on the end of this song originated in Atlanta during the Jason Mraz concert back in April of this year -- yep in Atlanta, we know how to boogie] www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3ahGfTry8kENJOY!!!!
