I went for a walk with my puppy today and when we got to the park I let her off the lead, naughty I know but I just love to see her run across the open space and if I do it at the right time of day there is no one around.
There were galahs everywhere a hundred if not more ( I suck at estimating), they are an Australian bird, with a pinkish breast and the rest is grey (I should find you a picture but I am being lazy). Anyway when Princess finally spotted them she went running across and they all started flying, a sea of pink and grey in the overcast sky, it was just beautiful. I would have taken a photo with my phone but because I didn't have my earphones, I didn't take it. I hope they are there again tomorrow so I can get a pic, I might even take a camera just in case

Why naughty??? Dog's are supposed to run around off lead like loonies. Yes Giselle would love a picture of the birdies .. I'm so jealous that they live in the wild over there.

Ok, I will try again tomorrow. We are very lucky with our wildlife but unfortunately with the drought some are finding it tough and the reason I think they were all there was they were looking for food and eating any new grass shoots.
I was naughty because it is actually a sporting oval and she should have been on her lead but I agree dogs are meant to run around like loonies and Princess certainly does that.

Hehehehe way to go Princess.
Do you have Major Mitchell cockatiels (Leadbeaters) around there. I recently discovered them and of course they are Australian lol They have got to be one of the most stunning birds ever.
