As an aside to Kate - I don't know how you managed in California w/o a GPS. We would have been lost - literally - without ours! It was too expensive! I'd already made a micalculation in how much my car hire was costing! But I'm used to just going with a map reading skills and my sense of direction. They're both crap but I just don't mind getting lost!!!! All part of the adventure! Actually, route planning from mapquest and google maps pretty much kept me on the right path. Nice to see you and you GEG! Welcome back! ;D

Sadly Giselle, Rocco managed to sandwich his gigs on either weekends of my vacation! Not sure how I could have worked it anyway - we had the kids w/us. though I thought briefly - hell, they could wait in the car for a few hourse, they're old enough But for RDB associations, I did see someone who looked like Dave, thought of Greg when I saw anyone surfing, and thought of Rocco when I saw signs for Long Beach! We spent most of our trip up North in San Francisco and were in Anaheim for Disneyland on Friday, then really LA just for the day on Saturday.

Whoa! I can't say I have eeeeever even heard of this Brian Wright character. I'll have to listen to the song though. See if I need desperately to change my alias! No, my name came from this thing with my brother. I think we were in the car, all talking, and I said something that was unbelievable. My brother dearest responded, "Yea, and I'm the Queen of Spain." I couldn't stop laughing, and the next day when I got my first account-type thing on teh interwebz, I called myself the Queen of Spain. It's been that way ever since. Though bro says he can't recall any of that... Now I superly need to hear this song! Well what a coincidence!!!! I meet someone and hear a song, both called the queen of spain all in a matter of days!! The song is the one at the very top of the list. But have a listen to the one beneath it too, cos it's had me hooked all week! ;D Oooooh I like this guy. I have a theme song now, as well! And if I can manage around London with a group of sixteen giggling girls, then navigating any other big city doesn't sound toooo hard. We were all Girl Scouts, though, so that might've counted for something in the map-reading arena.
