Hell yes! It wasn't as gory as I thought it would be, the previews mostly show them with extended parts to that, the bathtub scene blew me away, loved it.
Did make me jump a few times and my daughter bridgette did get the hebbies at one scene.
I read one bad reviewer right before i went to movie, he said the movie used allot of the same crap horror movies always use, I didn't see that, I think that what was seen and used was necessary for the scene and worked really well.
Beginning I honestly felt was slow and I don't kill me but no chemistry for Ben n wifey!
Would see it again! Not just because Kiefers in it, was a great story and again the ending I never saw coming.

The movie was excellent. I thought Kiefer's acting was amazing as usual. I loved the ending and was totally surprised by it.

the gore wasn't all that bad. Just one especially disturbing scene, otherwise I really liked it.
I'll buy it when it comes out on DVD.

Except for that one unnecessary gory scene (which they could have toned down to a simple drowning), it was pretty sweet as far as the "spook factor" goes.

The bath tub scene was brilliant! Just right and enough gore for me.

I didn't need it. They could have toned it down to something "explainable"...not something so over the top that it was absurd.
and it was.......
ABSURD.

Just came back from the theatre, we have a Fantasy Filmfest running in Berlin right now, and "Mirrors" was shown in its Original version (fortunately neither subtitled nor dubbed). The theatre was almost sold out (600 seats), and there was a host who said something like "welcome, I'm happy that you decided to watch Jack Bauer instead of Dark Knight" . Before we entered the room, we got a questionnaire for "Mirrors", and after watching the movie we filled it out and gave it to one of the organizers. I am not a horror movie fan/expert, so I can't say whether certain scenes have been used in other horror movies before or not. The film has a lot of suspense, and it has a story to tell, and maybe some horror movie fans don't like this. I really liked the movie. I liked especially the beginning of the movie the mirrored New York City, I think that was a great effect. Kiefer's acting was brilliant, sometimes reminded me of Jack but no wonder , especially he blew me away with the scene wehre finds out that his sister got murdered and Paula Patton was also very convincing as the scared Mom . What REALLY scared me - no spoiler alert! - was my friend who was sitting next to me and she jumped so often I was more scared by her sudden actions than by the movie. ;D ;D too bad we forgot to bring Popcorn. ;D ;D

I am a horror fan and love gore even more, loved all of it, yes I did see some things used in allot of horror films, but it didn't bother me. the damn bird made me jump and as far as the water, they say was over used, I think it brought more intense to the scene, cause you have no escape from it. Amy smart I think did great in the scene, Again I loved it. I too loves the NY look in the beginning.
